Looking at the big picture, the whole wedding is an important moment, but since your resources are limited, you will have to confine to the key parts of the event. Do you know which ones they are? So try not to use flash if possible, or learn to eliminate the effect with a photo editing software. Being loud, you will draw attention to yourself, which is not exactly the best. You want to capture everyone paying attention to whatever they are paying attention to, unless you're taking a group photo. For group photos, make sure you shout out when you're taking the photo, so that everyone will be ready. Also, have a 5-6 shot burst in the next seconds, to be able to select the best one.
Last but not least, don't get hammered at the wedding. Even if you're family, try to enjoy yourself without alcohol. You won't be able to get quality photos if you had a couple of shots.
